
Manitowoc FSG Walk-in Division had another record breaking year in 2009 in safety! The Company achieved eight (8) years without a lost time accident. Not having an injury that was severe enough to require the employee to miss work in eight years (or 4,296,177 worked hours) is an exceptional accomplishment! Not only was the no lost time goal accomplished, but for the 6th year in a row the recordable incident rate declined. There has been a seventy-six (76) percent improvement from 2003. The national recordable incident rate average for this industry is 5.0, but the 2009 recordable incident rate for Manitowoc FSG Walk-In Division was only 2.92.
