Kolpak redesigns Polar-Pak walk-in systems

PARSONS, TENNESSEE – May 15, 2007 – Kolpak, the industry leader in walk-in refrigeration, announces a redesign of their Polar Pak walk-in systems aimed at increasing the speed of installation, improving storage space, and making the walk-in units more outdoor friendly.

Installation is easy. Polar-Pak walk-ins can be installed in practically no time at all without the services of a refrigeration technician or plumber. Corners, wall panels, and doors are quickly assembled on the unit’s floor and the ceiling panels lifted into place. Then, the self-contained wall-mount refrigeration unit is easily rolled into place. The top mount system is lifted into position and then bolted into place. No drain line is required on indoor installations – making it ideal for basement and upper-floor applications.

The top-mount refrigeration is flush to the interior allowing full use of walk-in interior space for storage. In addition, the self-contained refrigeration package significantly reduces refrigeration labor costs. Installation can be completed without the services of a plumber or refrigeration technician. Standard automatic condensate evaporator eliminates the need for a drain line on indoor units.

The new Polar Pak redesign also includes the new “roof-curb” technology eliminating the possibility of leaks, and enabling reliable outdoor installations.

Other standard features include Posi-Loc panel fasteners for a perfect airtight fit, superior door construction to seal in cold and prevent condensation, coved corners on floor panels for easier cleaning and greater sanitation, and interior safety release to prevent accidental entrapment.

Polar-Pak systems are available in cooler, freezer, or cooler/freezer combinations. Also available is a new 3/4 HP freezer.
