The Polar-Chill is capable of lowering product temperatures from above 140 degrees fahrenheit to 40 degrees fahrenheit in only two hours. Its unique blast chilling system utilizes two compressors (3 HP and 1 HP) to cool and hold food safely while providing optimum performance and economy of operation. While both compressors operate in blast chill mode, once food temperature is safely lowered, the 1 HP compressor takes over to hold the temperature.
