Kolpak to Re-Introduce R404A Systems with Hermetic Compressors
As a result of the court rulings regarding the EPA’s authority to restrict the use of HFC refrigerants, SNAP rules 20 and 21 have been officially vacated.
Due to this change in the rules Kolpak will re-introduce the R404A Hermetic line of condensing units and systems. Quoting will begin in mid June and production will begin July 1st. We will be offering the full line of units including PC systems. Both hermetic and scroll units will be available in R404A.
R448A will continue to be offered to our partners wishing to continue using the more environmentally friendly refrigerant.
